The SPC-1218 Galley Proof Press is a tabletop proofing press designed for letterpress printing. It is machined from a single block of aluminum, providing a rigid and flat base for accurate and consistent operation. Its compact design makes it perfect for both studio and classroom environments while maintaining the functionality and durability needed for reliable proofing.
The press features a hard rubber roller that is resistant to common letterpress inks and cleaning solvents. The roller applies even pressure across the bed, making it suitable for proofing metal and wood type, mounted photopolymer plates, and mounted relief blocks.
With a 12" x 18" bed and a bed height of .968" to accommodate standard type-high material, the SPC-1218 is the perfect size for printing posters and other small to medium-format work.
